Hearing Protection
Hearing Protection
Proforce have selected a range of insert and muff type hearing protection that provide protection for the ear across a large noise level band and therefore meeting a wide selection of workplace needs and expectations for protection.
In work conditions where the noise levels exceed 85dB – 90dB, the workers in those areas who request hearing protection must be provided with it! Where the noise levels are higher than 90dB the staff must be informed and training provided in the use of hearing
protection, in addition these areas must be marked ‘Noise Hazard Areas’.
Whilst clearly it is important to protect hearing, care must also be taken not to over protect and therefore obstruct hearing of fire alarms etc.
All Proforce Hearing Protection meets and exceeds the minimum requirements set out in BS EN 352 – parts 1,2, & 3: 2002 and are CE marked.
When selecting Hearing Protection it is imperative that you are aware of your national laws, regulations, customs and practices. The following points, which are contained in EN458:1994 ‘Hearing Protectors – Recommendations for Selection, Use, Care and
Maintenance’ , should be considered in this process.
Required Sound Attenuation, Certification Mark, Wearer Comfort, Compatibility Combination
