• Environmentally Friendly Wood Composite Products:
Earth-Wood is made from reclaimed wood and polymer. Earth-wood is manufactured from a fully sustainable resource. It is an environmentally friendly and yet it acts, feels and cuts and even smells like real wood.

• Slip Resistant Properties:
Earth-wood has an extremely effective slip resistant surface in both wet and dry conditions. In a commercial development this means your exposure to potential personal injury claims are reduced. Earth-wood has been independently tested to BS & BS-EN standards in this regard and is considered suitable for use around swimming pools.

• No need to Seal, Stain, Paint, Oil or Treat every year:
Earth-wood is non porous and is impregnated with UV stable tones. This ensures that it will retain its character for many years. Earth-Wood products are made from recycled and reclaimed wood and polymer. These two materials combined provide the best of both worlds whilst the polymer protects the wood from moisture and insect damage the wood protects the polymer from excessive UV exposure.

This means that in less than ten years you will have paid the equivalent of a second deck or fence. If however you choose not to regularly maintain your investment it will deteriorate and eventually rot or twist and crack and will then need to be fixed or replaced. Earth-Wood is non-porous and is guaranteed not to be affected by either Wet or Dry rot. Earth-wood is also guaranteed against damage caused by Woodworm or Termites.

• No Cracks or Splinters: Earth-Wood is guaranteed not to crack splinter or split under normal conditions.

• No mould or fungus growth:
As Earth-Wood is non porous there is no opportunity for fungus or mould to take hold. As with any surface however, regular cleaning is recommended to avoid the build up of dirt or debris onto which mould or fungus might attach.

• No special tools required:
Earth-wood contains no glues, epoxies, bonding agents or other harsh chemicals. There are no knots or natural defects and it is therefore kind to woodworking tools and blades. Its composite engineered structure has been tested and proven to give better screw and nail retention than most hardwoods.

• Cleaning:
The only maintenance required by your Earth-wood deck is cleaning. If required it is easily cleaned using a brush and water or it can be power washed without any concerns.

• Finish:
It is available in a smooth or slip resistant finish and in a variety of lengths, widths and thickness. It is available in a variety of wood tones and colours (subject to quantity).

• Flexibility:
Relative to timber and other composite decking Earth-wood is very flexible and can be adapted and curved by steaming it before use.

Earth-wood saves you money on maintenance and repair and on potential personal injury claims from slippery surfaces.	Ongoing maintenance and repair can be very costly. Personal injury claims are at an all time high. There is a duty of care to ensure that you minimize any potential hazard. Clear Algae growth on wood is a natural occurrence which is almost impossible to prevent, extremely difficult to remove and will transform a deck area into an accident waiting to happen.
Earth-wood is a fully sustainable, renewable and environmentally friendly resource.	The World Wildlife Foundation recently confirmed that more than 50% of the worlds rainforests are now GONE through over use of hardwood. They will not last forever!
Earth-wood has a slip resistant rating in both wet and dry conditions than any of the wood products presently available for pedestrian surfaces. As tested to  BS & BS- EN Standards	All wood products are porous and therefore allow a skin of water to form in wet conditions creating a surface which simply cannot meet these standards.
Earth-wood is virtually non porous (absorption level of .02%). This means that Fungus and Algae will not adhere to the surface of the board.	All wood products are porous and are therefore prone to fungus and algae adhering too and embedding into their surface creating an extremely slippery and dangerous surface.
Earth-wood will not split, splinter or crack	Splitting and cracking in timber will lead to the onset of rot  while splinters are the most common cause of injury to bare feet on decks
Earth-wood is not prone to attack by wood-eating insects/termites.	All softwoods and many hardwoods are prone to attack by this destructive nuisance at some point
Earth-wood has excellent UV resistance and will retain its color and visual appeal many years without any need for sealing, treating or staining.	To maintain the appearance of your timber deck you will have to be prepared to spend money and time every year on labor and materials.
Earth-wood will not be affected by wet or dry rot.	All softwoods will be affected by rot at some point while many hardwoods if not maintained will also succumb to this costly issue
Earth-wood is easily cleaned and can be power washed	When you power wash Timber you will most likely also remove any coating you have applied to protect it. To properly maintain your timber deck you will need to power wash and allow to dry (1-2 days) Stain or oil and allow to dry (1-2 days) If applying more that one coat your deck area may be unusable for up to 5 days
Earth-wood is virtually maintenance free (cleaning only)	All Timber decking requires regular and costly maintenance and treatment to maintain its appearance.
Earth-wood contains no harmful agents or chemicals.	Treated timbers contain many chemicals while the regular maintenance of your deck requires the use of numerous chemicals in stains, cleaners, preservatives and other coatings. In many cases these will leech back into the soil beneath your deck
Earth-wood ensures that your projects will last the test of time and look as good in years to come as they do when they are installed.	If they are not properly treated on installation, Within a matter of months traditional timbers will look aged. If they are not then maintained they will lose their warmth and visual appeal and will not have the desired effect on prospective new clients who might wish to view them.
