Many industrial environments generate the risk of flame hazards, which require unique and specific levels and types of Protection.
Proforce has engineered a range of Flame Retardant Workwear and Weatherwear solutions that ensure your workforce are protected beyond the minimum expectations of the BS EN standards, both for the base fabric and the finished garment.
The Proforce range provides protection through the base, mid and outer layers, as conventional wisdom would suggest that when protecting against flame spread, heat and molten splash, protection and compliance should be provided at all levels.
In most, Proforce garments feature the Pyrovatex FR treatment on 100% cotton base fabrics providing class leading performance and wearer comfort.
In addition to the specific BS EN standards referring to Flame Retardant protection, garments meet BS EN340: 1993, are CE marked and meet the EEC directive for PPE.
FR standards at a glance:
EN470-1:1995 – covers the general requirements for protective clothing for use in welding and allied processes
EN15025:2002 – covers the test methodology for limited flame spread in relation to protective clothing offering protection against heat and flame
EN531:1995 – covers protective clothing for workers exposed to heat
EN340:1993 – covers the general requirements for protective clothing
